Sleep Deeper on a Hybrid Mattress Built Around You
A 27cm ( just over 10 inches) medium firm hybrid with 1,000 pocket springs, memory foam comfort and a Tencel-infused cover. Hand made in the UK.
A great mattress has two jobs. It has to hold you up properly, and it has to feel wonderful the moment you lie down. The Origins Lux Prestige is a 27cm ( just over10 inch) deep, medium firm hybrid mattress built to do both. Beneath you, 1,000 individually pocketed full height 18cm springs give a stable supportive base. Above them, quilted comfort layers and memory foam are designed to cradle your shoulders and hips, easing pressure and helping your spine rest in a natural position.
It is hand made in the UK and sold direct from the people who build it, with 60 nights to try it at home and a 5 year guarantee.
Made for heavier side sleepers, average-weight back and stomach sleepers, and anyone who changes position throughout the night.
1000 Pocket Springs, Each One Working for You
This is a true pocket sprung mattress. Every one of the 1,000 springs is wrapped in its own pocket, so it responds to your body independently instead of dragging its neighbours along. Seven zones across the mattress are designed to support each part of you where it needs it most. Because the springs work alone, they also help limit movement travelling across the bed, so a restless partner is less likely to disturb you. Curious about the engineering? Read our Pocket Spring Guide.
Why 18cm Full-Height Pocket Springs Matter
Spring height is one of the things that separates a serious pocket spring mattress from a lightweight one. Full height means the 18cm spring unit forms the main support core of the mattress, not a shallow layer of springs sitting under thick foam. A taller spring has more room to compress and push back, which is designed to give progressive, responsive support as you settle into the bed. The tall core also leaves more open space inside the mattress for air to move through, and it means your support comes from the springs themselves, with the foam on top focused on comfort.
Hybrid Memory Foam Comfort for Pressure Relief
Lie down and you meet aerated viscoelastic memory foam, then a medium firm polycotton layer and comfortable natural fibres. Memory foam is designed to contour to your body and give pressure relief across the whole sleeping surface, especially at the shoulders and hips, while the springs beneath keep you supported. That is the hybrid memory foam balance: comfortable where you touch it, supportive where you need it.
The craftsmanship is in the detail. The comfort layers are quilted and the support layers are securely anchored with traditional wool felt tufts, designed to leave a smooth surface without the dips tufting can cause. See how all 8 layers fit together in our Mattress Construction Guide.
Moisture Wicking Hybrid Mattress
Hypoallergenic and cooling. Hybrid mattresses generally sleep cooler than all-foam mattresses, because the spring core lets air move through. The Origins Lux goes further with a hypoallergenic Tencel-infused cover, eight air vents and heat transfer mesh, all designed to keep air circulating while you sleep.
Hybrid Mattress with Edge Support You Can Actually Use
Ever perched on the side of a bed that gives way beneath you? A steel wire edge and steel butterfly supports reinforce the perimeter of the Origins Lux, so you can sit on the edge to put your socks on and sleep right up to it. Every centimetre of the bed is yours to use.
Is the Origins Lux Prestige Right for You?
At 7/10 medium firm, it is a hybrid mattress for side sleepers who are heavier and need deeper pressure relief at the hips and shoulders, and it gives average-weight back and stomach sleepers a firm, steady feel. If you change position through the night, it moves with you. Not sure about firmness? Our Comfort Guide will help.
How Deep is the Origins Lux Prestige?
27cm, just over 10 inches: 18cm of full-height pocket springs plus the comfort layers above them.
